Each table has a theme--this year featured Frozen, Sesame Street, a Luau inspired table, and snowmen among many others. Chef Chris Feskens and his team made a wonderful buffet featuring traditional sandwiches, scones, and many scrumptious desserts. There was tea and apple juice for the children.
September is National Intergenerational Month and the Annual Tea Party is a way to celebrate and honor the relationships between the young and young-at-heart. At Willson House, bringing the generations together is nothing new; in fact, we do it every day. Here, will find children and seniors interacting daily. Children and seniors will be together singing songs, telling stories, making crafts or participating in annual events like our Tea Party or Carnival. Seniors also frequent our classrooms to say hello, lead projects, or serve as volunteers. No matter what the interaction may be, generations will be learning and growing, together.
